Polli Black Anodized Namaste Earrings

Polli Jewelry is designed and made in Australia. The jewelry is all made of extremely lightweight metal, mostly stainless steel and gold-plated steel. These pieces are unique in that they are able to bring an earthy and organic feel to an artistic modern design. The entire line is made of nickel free products.

Polli designers Maja Rose and Tess Lloyd met in 1999 while studying Industrial Design together at the University of Technology, Sydney. After graduating into professional roles, they both sought the fulfillment of creating their own products by hand. Polli was thus born from their strong interests in sustainable design, craft, culture and fashion. The folding methods used in this family of products are influenced by both Japanese and Danish paper designs, and the materials chosen allow them to express their interest in colour and light. By creating home and fashion accessories through manufacturing techniques usually reserved for industrial products, Polli is a hybrid of both product and fashion design.

Etched from aluminium and then anodized, these pieces are beautifully light to wear and have a striking black finish. The earrings hang from sterling silver hooks, and the pendants hang from delicately thin 16" or 18" sterling silver chains.

The Namaste earrings are finely etched black anodized aluminum on sterling silver hooks. The Namaste design is inspired by Indian pavings and patterns. Namaste, a common phrase used in yoga and pilates teachings,
is Indian for hello. Like all Polli jewelry, these items are light and comfortable enough to wear to such classes.
