M.E. Moore Small Brass Louis XIV Feather Necklace

This one of a kind small brass Louis XIV feather necklace by M.E. Moore is the epitome of taking the old and creating something beautiful and new.

M.E. Moore's work stems from an interest in both imagery and composition.
She creates pieces of whatever materials interest her in that moment. The works range from simple brass animal castings inlayed with solder to necklaces that could have found objects such as fabric, bone, glass, etc. all in one design. She is inspired by forms in nature, and she often strives to mix those with vintage objects that she finds as salvage and recycles into her work.

Her process of making ‘one of a kind works’ is mostly done with silver solder, an iron, and a torch. Each piece of her solder work goes through a procedure of heat, cleansing, scrubbing and buffing, and finally burnishing.
All of her work is made by her hand with the goal of creating pieces that are different than the typical styles of jewelry we are accustomed to.

All jewelry is high quality brass with lead-free solder.
Necklaces are made with thin gold filled chain or a thick chain of solid brass.

All of M.E. Moore's one of a kind works are made from 90% reclaimed finds. She considers them a green product.
